JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Complete the customs declaration.
- Receive shipment information and documentation from the customer or relevant departments.
- Verify the validity, completeness, and accuracy of import and export documents.
- Look up, classify, and advise on HS Codes, product policies, tax rates, and related regulations.
- Prepare the customs declaration using the ECUS/VNACCS software, and send a draft declaration to the customer for confirmation before officially transmitting it.
- Complete the electronic customs declaration and track the customs clearance process.
2. Customer consultation and support
- Providing clients with advice on customs procedures, import and export policies, and related regulations.
- Assisting clients in preparing the necessary documents and paperwork as required by government agencies.
- Answering questions related to import and export procedures and customs clearance.
3. Reporting and record keeping
- Maintain records and documents related to import and export activities in accordance with regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports on the status of declarations and shipments under your responsibility.
- Stay updated on new regulations regarding customs, taxes, and import/export.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Department Head.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduated from college/university with a major in Import-Export, Logistics, International Trade, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience of one year or more in Customs Declaration or Import/Export Documentation is an advantage.
- Thorough understanding of import and export processes, customs procedures, and goods management policies.
- Proficient in ECUS/VNACCS software.
- Possesses knowledge of HS Code, Incoterms, import and export taxes, and customs regulations.
- Ability to read and understand English documents.
- Careful, honest, responsible, and able to withstand work pressure.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
